Ground Report- Batgund- Charkadi Road Irks Commuters, pedestrians

Dilapidated link road from Batagund to Charikadi village of south Kashmir’s Islamabad (Anantnag) district continues to irk commuters and the pedestrians as the authorities have failed to macadamize the roads despite assurances.

Inhabitants living in the areas as well the commuter passing through the roads here while speaking to The Kashmiriyat have demanded immediate redressal of their genuine grievances.

Locals said that the road in their area was not macadamized and due to potholes drivers jerking their knees resulting the risk of toppling in these ditches.

However, the locals said that, officials didn’t pay heed over it thereby leaving the commuters as well as the pedestrians to suffer.They alleged that the officials failed to repair the road.

“The respective government’s have neglected the road since 5 years.The commuters experience a multitude of problems,” Ghulam Rasool, a local resident told The Kashmiriyat.

Even patching has not been done besides the scope of macdimization is a dream for the inhabitants, the said, appealing the authorities to take the issue on severe note and assist the inhabitants.
