As Kashmir valley gears up for a predicted heavy snowfall from Sunday, here are some of the necessary measures you should take if you are travelling.

Meanwhile, Dark Sky has predicted 2 to 4 feet of snow in plains, while the snowfall in mountains may go upto seven feet.

Here are some of the important measures you must read and take before going out.

Drive at an appropriate speed.

Wear long shoes, preferably water proof.

Minimize the use of two wheeler.

Follow lane driving.

Minimize the usage of brakes.

If you are travelling at a farther distance, carry water, eatables along.

Avoid overtaking.

Keep distance while driving.

Use dipped headlights to be visible to others.

Be Cautious While on roads.

Deflate tyres to keep low pressure for maintain a good grip on slippery roads.
