Firing has stopped at the ongoing Encounter in Kangan area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama.
Official sources told The Kashmiriyat that 55 RR of Indian Army, Jammu Kashmir Police and CRPF jointly launched the operation.
The Encounter started when Militants fired on a patrolling party of Government forces.
Earlier Forces had launched a Search Operation in the area upon receiving a specific input about the presence of Militants in the area, Sources told The Kashmiriyat.
2-3 Militants are believed to be trapped in the area.
A Search Operation has started as the exchange of fire has stopped.
Unconfirmed Reports Suggest that A local militant, Musavir Ahmed Maczpuna Pulwama , has been killed in a brief encounter in Pulwama district of south Kashmir.
