Gunshots have been heard in the Ara Khashipora area of South Kashmir’s Islamabad (Anantnag) district.
An official told The Kashmiriyat that on Monday evening joint Forces incuding Army, Jammu Kashmir Police, and Central Reserve Police Force jointly launched a cordon and search operation in the area following inputs about Militant movement in the area.
During the cordon, a few gunshots have been heard in the area, Locals told The Kashmiriyat.
More forces have been rushed to the spot, they said.
As per the latest reports, no fresh firing has been heard after the initial gunshots.
