Gunshots have been heard during a cordon and search operation at Hajin town in North Kashmir’s Bandipora District.
Sources told The Kashmiriyat that 13 RR of Indian army and Jammu Kashmir Police had jointly launched a search operation in the area on Thursday morning.
The entry and exit points were blocked as the operation was launched.
Massive gunshots have been heard in the area, Locals told The Kashmiriyat.
However officials could not be reached to confirm whether a contact had been established with Militants or not.
Meanwhile an encounter between Militants and Government Forces is going on at Warpora area of Sopore in North Kashmir.
