Massive Clashes erupted during a CASO launched in kharpora locality of Arwani in Bijbehara area of South Kashmir’s Islamabad (Anantnag)District.
Sources told The Kashmiriyat that 1 RR of Indian Army, Jammu Kashmir Police and CRPF laid down the Search operation jointly on Thursday afternoon.
“The Operation was launched after troopers received a specific input about Militant movement in the area,” Sources said.
Hundreds of youth hit the streets when the Anti Militancy operation was launched and threw stones on troops amid intense pro independence sloganeering.
The Forces fired tear smoke shells and pellets to disperse the youth, however the youth re grouped in large numbers.
Meanwhile A Door to door search operation has been launched in the area after all the entry and exit points were sealed to the village.
The clashes were going on when this report was filed.
