Gunshots have been heard during a cordon and search operation at Katpora area in Yaripora in South Kashmir’s Kulgam District.
Sources told The Kashmiriyat that RR of Indian army and Jammu Kashmir Police had jointly launched a search operation in the area on Saturday morning.
The entry and exit points were blocked as the operation was launched.
Massive gunshots have been heard in the area, Locals told The Kashmiriyat.
However officials could not be reached to confirm whether a contact had been established with Militants or not.
