Gunshots Heard During CASO in Shopian Area

Gunshots have been heard during a cordon and search operation in the Kanigam area of Nagbal belt in Shopian in South Kashmir.

An official speaking to The Kashmiriyat said that on Wednesday afternoon, 44 RR of Indian, CRPF and Jammu Kashmir Police jointly launched a cordon and search operation in the Kanigam area in Shopian.

During the cordon, several gunshots were heard in the area. Two to three Militants are believed to be trapped at the site of the cordon.
