A tragic incident occurred in Handwara, in northern Kashmir’s Kupwara district, where a father passed away on his daughters’ wedding day.
Locals told The Kashmiriyat that Nisar Ahmad Mir, aged 50, son of Mohammad Maqbool Mir, a resident of Haril village in Kupwara’s Mawer block, died in the early hours of Friday.
The weddings of his two daughters were scheduled for this Saturday and Sunday, however, due to the sudden and unexpected death, the ceremonies were canceled following discussions with both families.
Nissar Ahmad was a businessman and is survived by four daughters.
