National political party Congress’ JK Spokesperson, Adv. Sheikh Amir, has demanded registration of an FIR against the organizers and speakers of the ‘Dharam Sansad’ for allegedly giving blasphemous and violence provoking speeches.
The Spokesperson in his complaint, addressed to Station House Officer (SHO) of Baramulla Police Station, has demanded registration of FIR under section 153A, 295A and other relevant sections of IPC against the accused persons.
While talking to The Kashmiriyat, Adv Sheikh Amir told that “Today, I registered a complaint for the lodgement of FIR against the persons who delivered provoking speeches at Dharam Sansad.” He also added that “I thought that somebody will speak about it but when no voice came from any of the corner of Kashmir, I realized that I should go for legal course.”
In a complaint, whose copy lies with The Kashmiriyat, Sheikh Amir has stated that at the ‘Dharam Sansad’ event held at Ved Niketan Dham from 17th December to 20th December 2021, inflammatory, derogatory and violence provoking speeches have been made.
The complaint reads as, “At the event the speakers made provocative statements against a minority section (Muslims). The event was organized by Yati Narishanand Giri of Juna Akhara who is already under police scanner for making hate speeches and inciting violence against Muslims.”
“Yati Narishanand has also used derogatory remarks against our Prophet (Muhammad SAW) several times, which has hurt the religious sentiments of Muslims,” the complaint reads. It further reads as, “The conference was also attended by Prabodhnanad Giri (President of Hindu Raksha Sena), BJP Mahila Morcha Leader (Udita Tyagi), BJP leader Ashwani Upadhyay, Sadhvi Annapurna (Mahamandleshvar of Niranjani Akhara).”
JK Congress’ Spokesperson Adv Sheikh Amir told The Kashmiriyat, “The constitution clearly mentions secularism and says that the Secularism is the basic structure which you can’t amend or remove.”
He told that during elections, Islam is targeted everywhere and in broad daylight, blasphemous remarks are made against Prophet Muhammad (SAW).
“If there’s Constitution anywhere, they should be arrested immediately. If they’re working on the objective of Hindu Rashtra then they should declare it Hindu Rashtra so that we will understand that there’s no democracy,” Amir told.
The complainant has also mentioned some of the statements made by speakers at the event in his complaint. Among which few are as, “Ya marne ki liye tayar hojaa, Ya maarne ke liye (Prabhodanad Giri), Agar hum mein se 100 log bhi unke (Musalamano) 20 lakh logo ko marne ke liye tayar hojaye to hamari jeet hojayagi (Saadhvi Annapurna), Agar mere pass hathiyar hoga to main Nathuram Godse ban jata oyar Manmohan Singh ko Ghandhi ki tarah Qatal kar deyta.”
“Mein Hinduaan ko kehta hoon ki woh hathiyar kharedain aur Hindusim ko bachanay kay liye Musalmanu ka qatal Karien (Premanand Mohraj), Islam ek atangwadi mazhab hai aur Muhammad ek Behrupiya hai (Jitendera Narayan Singh Tyogi known as Waseem Rizvi),” the speeches made by accused, which the Sheikh Amir has mentioned in his complaint.
He has also mentioned links of the videos where the statements mentioned in the complaint can be heard. “So it becomes evident from the video links I have provided here that the participants of Dharam Sansad have committed cognizable offence u/s 1531A, 295A and other relevant sections of IPC,” the complaint reads.
Adv Sheikh Amir further said that “These type of issues should be looked at by courts but unfortunately courts are also silent,” adding that “they should take cognizance of these things.”
When asked about the silence of Jammu Kashmir leaders of Congress party over this issue, Amir said, “I’m Jammu and Kashmir PCC spokesperson, when there’s any statement of Spokesperson, you admit that it is the statement of party.”
He, in the complaint, has also said that it was a clear violation of fundamental rights and secularism which is basic structure of Indian Constitution and that the sentiments of Muslims have been deeply hurt. “So it is requested to your goodself to kindly register FIR against organizers and speakers of Dharam Sansad held at Ved Niketan Dham from 17th to 20th Dec 2021,” he demanded in the complaint.
