Protests broke out on Srinagar-Jammu highway at Lethpora after forces allegedly didn’t allow the school buses and thrashed many students, eywtinesses said.
An eyewitness told The Kashmiriyat that a school bus belonging to an Awantipora High school was disallowed from moving ahead despite an official order by the authorities that school buses and ambulances shall be allowed to move during the convoy.
Pertinently, after the February 14 attack at Lethpora central government issued a notice that disallowed any traffic movement during the army convoy.

When the students protested against their bus not being allowed to move ahead, the CRPF men deployed thrashed the many students including a minor girl.
“They thrashed us because we argued with them and they stopped our bus for no reason at all,” a media report quoted a student as saying.
Dozens of locals later poured onto the streets and blocked the National Highway. Shouting Pro Idependence, Pro Zakir Musa and Anti India slogans, they said that the Government Forces are not following the orders of the Government
The Government Forces Meanwhile, denying all the allegations said that “forces did not harm anybody.”
