After attending the cabinet meet three weeks ago, where the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 was approved, the Home Minister Amit Shah was tested positive for deadly Coronavirus on August 2.
Shah was then diagnosed in private hospital Medanta Gurgaon, where he tested negative for Covid-19 after the treatment of one week.
Shah took it to his twitter handle on August 14 that he would continue to be in home isolation as advised by his doctors. He was then seen participating in Independence Day celebrations. Extensive contact tracing was to be done by health officials.
Since then Shah has been complaining of fatigue and body aches. Now, he has been admitted to AIIMS in Delhi for his post-COVID-19 care.
Other ministers who came in contact with the Home Minister have been in home isolation since then. India’s Covid-19 tally has risen to 27.02 lakh cases while the death rate due to the contagious virus has reached to 51,797 as per the government data.
