A daylong awareness camp was organized by the Department of Horticulture Planning and Marketing (HP&M) at Utterpora, Pehlipora, on Tuesday.
The camp was organised under Atma Nirbhar Bharat on Prime Minister’s Formalization of Micro Food Proceeding Enterprises (PM-FME) scheme.
Area Marketing Officer, Mushtaq Ahmed Lone who has been designated as the District Nodal Officer for the scheme in the district, briefed the participants about the benefits of the scheme and the possible avenues to opt for entrepreneurship development.
The participants were apprised about the main benefits like 35% credit linked subsidy with a maximum ceiling up to 10 lakhs, Rs 40000/ as seed capital per member for SHG, establishment of FPOs and cooperatives, branding and marketing support to strengthen the management framework.
District Resource Person, Syed Arooja also spoke on the occasion and highlighted in detail the procedure for application.
Other speakers also encouraged the youth to take up entrepreneurship by opting under this scheme.
The officers and officials of the concerned department besides people in large numbers participated in the said awareness programme.
