Unknown gunmen on Thursday shot dead a Hurriyat Activist in Memandar area of South Kashmir’s Shopian District.
Sources told The Kashmiriyat that An activist of Hurriyat Conference namely Tariq Ahmad Ganie was shot at by unknown gunmen at Memendar area.
Tariq was rushed to the hospital however upon reaching the hospital, he was declared dead.
He was associated with Masarat Alam’s Muslim League and was an Armed Militant till 1996.
A police officer also confirmed the incident and said that the investigation in the case has been launched.
