In twin cases of the 1990s, incarcerated chairman of banned Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front Muhammad Yasin Malik appeared through video conferencing in the court stating that he would like to cross-examine the witnesses himself without taking assistance from any lawyer.

Among over a dozen accused only one accused and a witness was present while the Court deferred the cross-examination process when the lawyers of the accused cited the disturbances in Valley as a reason for the absence of their clients.

Court sources told news agency Kashmir News Trust that the incarcerated Chairman of banned JKLF, Muhammad Yasin Malik who has been made accused in both cases appeared through video conference. They said that Malik informed the court that he would like to cross-examine the witnesses himself and would not take any help from any lawyer.
