Security forces detected an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) in the Qaimoh area of south Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Monday, officials said.
A senior police officer stated that the explosive device was found by a joint team of police and security forces during a routine operation.
A bomb disposal squad was immediately called to the scene to neutralize the IED, the officer added.
Meanwhile, security forces have cordoned off the area as a precautionary measure.
