IED Found in Kulgam, Destroyed by Forces

An Improvised Explosive Device (IED) was found and later destroyed by Government Forces near Masjid in Shurat area of South Kashmir’s Kulgam district.

Officials told The Kashmiriyat that on Friday afternoon, an IED was detected by 9 RR of Indian Army, CRPF and J&K police near Amhadia Masjid in Shurat area of Kulgam, which was hidden in a pipe.

They said Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) teams of the Army and police reached to the spot and destroyed it safely.

A senior police officer confirmed the recovery as well as defusing of the device
