The head Imam of revered mosque at Makhdoom Sahab passed away after a brief illness in Srinagar.
Locals told The Kashmiriyat on Monday morning, Peerzada Haji Ali Mohammed Makhdoomi passed away at his residence in Srinagar district of central Kashmir.
They said that he had been serving at the mosque of the revered Sufi Saint Makdoom Sahab also referred to as Sultan e Kashmir for several decades.
The funeral prayer is scheduled after Namaz i Asar at Makhdoom sahab at 5:45 pm today, they said.
