The preacher of a local mosque in Parigam area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama was shot at by unidentified gunmen hours before his Friday sermon early morning today.
Sources told The Kashmiriyat that Mohammed Ashraf Thoker, an Imam of Masjid Hanfiya at Parigam Pulwama was shot at in his legs by the gunmen.
Ashraf is a resident of Bijbehara and has been shifted to Srinagar for specialised treatment.
The Jammu Kashmir Police has lodged an investigation into the incident and an investigation has been launched into the incident.
