India records the last 24 hours spike of 52,050 positive cases and 803 deaths due to COVID-19.
India’s total COVID-19 tally increases to 18,55,746 including 5,86,298 active cases, 12,30,510 cured and 38,938 deaths, according to the data released by the Health Ministry.
The rate of increase in COVID-19 cases for India stands at 3.6%, whereas the US stands at a rate of 1.6% and Brazil at 2.3 % – the only two countries with a higher caseload.
