Indian Army Organizes Chinar Premier League Martial Art Championship in Budgam

The Chinar Premier League Martial Arts Championship (Wushu Championship) is being conducted by 2 Rashtriya Rifles of the Indian Army at Sharifabad in Budgam district of Central Kashmir.

In an official press release, the Army has said that the competition will be conducted from 21 Nov to 24 Nov at Kilo Force Martial Arts Node, with the aim to promote Martial Arts and showcase the immense potential of the Kashmiri youth.

Kilo Force Commander graced the Chinar Premier League Martial Arts Championship on 21 Nov 2020 and felicitated the medal winners, in which 250 boys and 186 girls competed enthusiastically.

The competition showcased the talent in Martial Arts forms of Wushu in which 250 boys & 186 girls competed enthusiastically.

Each event had three different age categories for both boys and girls and matches were played on a knockout basis.

The championship aimed at harnessing the existing talent of the youth of the valley and provides them with a platform to showcase their potential. This beginning would act as a springboard for the youth and everyone alike and would go a long way in shaping their future.
