Indian Army Provides Financial Assistance for Daughter’s Marriage of a Deprived Family in Anantnag

19 Rashtriya Rifle of Indian Army showed a helping hand for below poverty line Schedule Caste family in Dooru area of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district.

In Dooru Anantnag, an army Major from 19RR met a person whose daughter’s marriage was fixed but was not in a condition to marry her daughter, as they were in distress. His poor financial status with meagre resources was a major block in his daughter’s marriage.

Realising the problem of the poor family, the army camp Nadoora, Larkipora and Wuzur came together and contributed hard Cash, other essential commodities for cooking and clothes to the Mehbooba Akhter,daughter of Ghulam Mohammad Sheikh..

The father thanked the indian Army especially, 19 Rashtriya Rifles (Major Sudhanshu) for his kind hearted manner. He also told that the Army major helped him for his daughter’s marriage without any hesitation. 

On interaction with the coy cdr, he said “helping in the marriage of Mehbooba Akhtar was like helping my own sister’s marriage.”

The locals of the area praised the efforts taken by Indian Army by helping poorer people all time.
