People from Budgam, Kashmir, said that a fighter jet of Indian Air Force crashed at Garend Kalan village, 7 Km distant from Budgam.
Though Police officials said that their initial inputs suggest that it a helicopter.
However eyewitnesses contested the version and said it was a fighter plane and had been doing rounds of the area since early morning.
They said that the Pilot and co pilot of the plane have also died in the crash.
Official confirmation regarding the deaths is awaited.
