The incarcerated Chairman of Ummat e Islami and Mirwaiz of South Kashmir, Qazi Ahmed yasir on Sunday while expressing anger over bloodhsed in South Kashmir has said that the forces are conducting a steady genocide in South Kashmir. He said that unabated killings and inhumane behavior goes unchecked in Kashmir, perhaps the Indian Forces were planning this genocide every moment during the so called ceasefire when they killed at least 25 humans. “This is not a civilised conduct when you shower bullets upon civilians and unarmed protesters, killing a 13 year old innocent boy is certainly no human behaviour,” Mirwaiz yasir said.
Mirwaiz Qazi yasir said that Indian state has been waging a war against Kashmiri people and on the other end, if hypocritcally portrays a soft corner towards Kashmiris by telling us that they are ready for talks, which they of course are not. “Killing innocent civilians, showering unarmed protesters with bullets is a sign that India surely is not wanting peace in Kashmir,” Mirwaiz yasir said.
Mirwaiz Qazi yasir demanded the end of killing cycle and said that political prisoners should be released and nocturnal raids stopped throughout southern Kashmir. “On every side they are harassing us, what sort of peace are they expecting,” Mirwaiz yasir asked.
He remained in jail today for the sixth day.
