Clashes between protesters and government forces erupted in Pathan area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district where a gunfight between militants and forces is underway.
Two to three Militants are believed to be holed up as a massive gunfire on from both the sides, Sources told The Kashmiriyat.
A Local told The Kashmiriyat that scores of protesters including women assembled and pelted stones on forces who responded to intense tear smoke shelling.
Announcements are being made on loudspeakers in the mosques asking others to come out, a local told The Kashmiriyat.
People in large numbers from adjacent areas are trying marching towards the encounter site.
