Following a specific input about Militant movement, the Government Forces jointly launched a cordon and search operation in the Palhalan area of North Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
On Monday, the forces including 29 RR of Indian Army, CRPF and Jammu Kashmir police sealed all the entry and exit points to the Palhalan area.
Locals told The Kashmiriyat that a heavy contingent of forces reached this Pattan locality and are conducting a search operation in the area.
Youth hit the streets as soon as troops launched a joint operation, Shouting Pro Freedom and Pro Militancy slogans, the youth hit the streets throwing stones on Government Forces.
The troops fired tear smoke shells to disperse the protesting youth, Locals told The Kashmiriyat.
A search operation was going on when this report was being filed.
