Following a specific input about Militant movement, the Government Forces jointly launched a cordon and search operation in the Gul Bagh area of Tral in South Kashmir’s Pulwama District.
On the evening of Friday, the forces including 42 RR of Indian Army, CRPF and Jammu Kashmir police sealed all the entry and exit points to the Gul bagh area.
Locals told The Kashmiriyat that a heavy contingent of forces reached this Tral locality and are conducting a search operation in the area.
Youth hit the streets as soon as troops launched a joint operation, Shouting Pro Freedom and Pro Militancy slogans, the youth hit the streets throwing stones on Government Forces.
The troops fired tear smoke shells to disperse the protesting youth, Locals told The Kashmiriyat.
One lady has been injured during the clashes who has been shifted to the hospital for treatment.
A search operation was going on when this report was being filed.
