Amid mourning and grief, intense clashes have erupted in Zirpara area of Bijbehara area of South Kashmir’s Islamabad (anantnag) District on Thursday morning.
Hundreds of youth from nearby areas gathered in Zirpara to attend the funeral of slain, Safdar Amin son of Mohammed Amin at his native in the Bijbehara township.
Scores of youth threw stones on Government Forces deployed in the area, who fired tear smoke shells at the protesters to disperse them, however, the clashes were going on when this report was filed.
Safdar Amin was killed in an encounter along with Burhan Ganie, a physiotherapy student turned Militant in Bijbehara township of South Kashmir on Thursday morning.
Thousands of Youth have picked up arms challenging the Indian rule in this Himalayan region of Kashmir, which is claimed by both India and Pakistan in its entirety.
The Asian neighbours have fought three wars over the region.
