Following a specific input about Militant movement, the Government Forces jointly launched a cordon and search operation in the Sirnoo area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama District.
Late night on Thursday, the forces including 55 RR of Indian Army, 183BN CRPF and Jammu Kashmir police sealed all the entry and exit points to the Sirnoo area.
Locals told The Kashmiriyat that a heavy contingent of forces reached this Pulwama locality and are conducting a search operation in the area.
Youth in large numbers hit the streets as soon as troops launched a joint operation, Shouting Pro Freedom and Pro Militancy slogans, the youth hit the streets throwing stones on Government Forces.
The troops fired tear smoke shells to disperse the protesting, locals told The Kashmiriyat.
