Internet Snapped in South Kashmir, Sopore

On the directions of the authorities, cellular companies have snapped mobile internet in South Kashmir Districts and Sopore area of the Kashmir valley.

A telecom official told The Kashmiriyat that officials directed them to snap mobile internet services in Islamabad (Anantnag), Shopian, Shopian, Kulgam while high speed mobile internet was already barred in Pulwama.

In Pulwama, the internet services were snapped after an encounter raged in Gusoo area of Pulwama on Tuesday morning, one Militant and one Army man was killed there.

Pertinently 08 July is the anniversary of Militant commander, Burhan Wani, who was killed on 08 July, 2016, along with two others. The killing was followed by months of civilian protests.
