Iran’s defiance grows: Military on alert amid rising war threats from USA

Iran has raised its military readiness to high alert following orders from Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, amid rising fears of a joint attack by Israel and the United States.

The move is being interpreted as a clear message that Iran is fully prepared to respond to any threat.

According to Reuters, an Iranian official revealed that Tehran has issued stern warnings to neighboring countries—Iraq, Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Turkey, and Bahrain—not to support or allow the use of their airspace for any U.S.-led military action.

“Any cooperation with an attack on Iran will be considered an act of hostility and responded to accordingly,” the official said. This development has escalated tensions across West Asia.

Khamenei’s directive comes amid mounting speculation that Israel and the U.S. may be planning a strike on Iranian territory. Tehran is determined to signal its military preparedness and deterrence capability.

In its message to the region, Iran warned of serious consequences for any country that facilitates U.S. military operations. The official also confirmed that Iran has rejected direct nuclear talks with the U.S., though it remains open to indirect discussions via Oman.

On March 7, Donald Trump reportedly sent a proposal to Khamenei for renewed talks. However, on March 30, Trump threatened to impose additional tariffs on Iran within two weeks if negotiations failed, warning of “a rain of bombs” if Tehran did not comply.

Reports have also surfaced that Iran has shut down its airspace in anticipation of potential threats. According to social media sources citing Mehr News Agency, this decision reflects Iran’s assessment of a dual threat from both the U.S. and Israel.

Iran’s move also comes after recent Israeli airstrikes targeting Hezbollah commanders, including an alleged attack that killed Iran-backed leader Hassan Nasrallah—an act Tehran views as a direct assault on its regional influence.
