Amid the second wave of covid-19, the Islamia College of Srinagar Science and Commerce has issued fresh examination notification which has left the students worried.
The post graduate students alleged that they cannot appear in offline mode of examination and put their lives at stake.
“We are the post graduate students batch 2020. Most of us come from far flung areas to reach the campus,” they said.
Aqib Dar (name changed), a PG student told The Kashmiriyat that the students don’t know, who is positive and who is not.
“Even staff members were reported positive, they are recovering from it yet. We don’t want to be the victim of deadly covid-19,” he said.
The students said that the college administration is hell bent on holding the examination through the offline mode, despite the Covid-19 pandemic.
“We demand that the examination be held through the online mode, as the virus is spreading like a wildfire,” students told The Kashmiriyat.
When The Kashmiriyat contacted college administration, they affirmed that they have issued notification regarding exams, although it has not been decided yet whether the examination will be conducted via the offline mode or the online mode.
