In the midst of the country’s second pandemic wave, Jammu and Kashmir BJP unit’s vice-president Yudhvir Sethi on Saturday performed a ‘havan’ to “ward off” the Covid-19 pandemic.
According to a party spokesman, Sethi was joined by party colleagues Anil Masoom, Ajit Yogi, Parveen Kerni, Pawan Sharma, Roshan Lal Sharma and Satish Kumar in the fire ritual and in compliance with all COVID-19 guidelines.
Sethi expressed hope that the “havan” will aid in the eradication of the disease, which has infected over 2,40,000 people and claimed the lives of over 3,000 people in the Union Territory of Jammu Kashmir.
However, he also urged people to follow all the Covid-19 guidelines issued by the government and said there is no alternative to them.
