The Jammu Kashmir Police traced a kidnapped girl and arrested the accused from Amritsar Punjab .
A Police official said that on 01/10/2020 Police Post Nagbal received a written complaint from Mohd Maqbool Mir R/O Buserbugh Nagbal that his daughter name(withheld) has been kidnapped by one Ishfaq ahmad Wani S/0 Mohd Yaseen Wani R/O Budwani Qazigund.
In this regard a case FIR No.207/2020 U/S 366 IPC was registered in P/S Ganderbal and a Special investigation team(SlT) headed by DO Nagbal SI Mohd Akbar under the close supervision of SSP Ganderbal Khalil Ahmad Poswal JKPS was constituted to nab the culprit.
After putting strenuous efforts SIT recovered the said girl from Amritsar Punjab from the possession of kidnapper namely lshfaq Ahmad Wani S/O Mohd Yaseen Wani R/O Budwani -Railway station Qazigund who was subsequently arrested.
The recovered girl has been handed over to her family members after all legal formalities.
SSP Ganderbal strongly advised the parents to watch the daily activities of their children So that they do not get involved in any social crime.
Strict action will be taken against involved persons as per the law.
