Jammu Kashmir to Get a Loan of 45800 Crores to Clear Power Liabilities

Jammu Kashmir administration will repay the liability for the purchase of power by taking loan from the central government.

The central government has also approved this. Under Self-Reliant India Campaign Package, Jammu Kashmir will be provided a loan of Rs 4580 crore.

This will be a special long-term loan, that is, the administration can return it according to its budget.

According to the information received from the department, Power Finance Corporation (PFC) and Rural Electrification Corporation (REC) at the behest of Lieutenant Governor GC Murmu, to Jammu Power Distribution Corporation Limited and Srinagar Power Distribution Corporation Limited, equal to 2290 crores.

The money has been sanctioned so that it can pay the liability of the companies that sell electricity. You are aware that the administration buys power from National Thermal Power Corporation Limited (NTPC), National Hydroelectric Power Corporation (NHPC) and some other companies to meet the demand of electricity in Jammu Kashmir.
