The Srinagar- Jammu highway has been shut for traffic on Monday morning due to landslides at several places.
Official sources told The Kashmiriyat that there have been landslides at several places in the Ramban district including Cafeteria Morh, Mehad, Shalgari, Sherbibi.
The restoration work is going on and till it is restored completely the highway has been shut for traffic movement, they said.
“Jammu-Srinagar National Highway (now NH-44) closed since early morning at Shaldagi in Sher Bibi sector due to rains and slippery condition,” DC Ramban Tweeted.
The highway later reopened for traffic and authorities had announced two-way traffic on the highway on Monday.
