A foreign Jaish militant active for the last 8 months in the district was killed in Kaprin area of Shopian early morning hour’s on Friday Jammu and Kashmir termed the operation as a big success and congratulated the joint team for conducting a successful operation and eliminating Jaish militant Kamran.
Addressing a press conference in Shopian, senior superintendent of police (SSP) Tanushree said that a foreign militant Kamran Bhai alias Hanees a Pakistan national was active for more than eight months in south Kashmir’s Shopian. He was involved in many militant-related incidents, the top cop said as per news agency— Kashmir News Apex (KNA).
SSP Shopain Tanushree said There was intelligence input about a Fidayeen attack and civilian target killings in Shopian district, We shall deal with evil designs of militants and their backers in a befitting manner,” and termed the killing of foreign Jem militant in today’s encounter a big success for security forces,” she said
Tanushree further said that they have got some leads about the Choudry Gund incident, however, the attack was carried out by Lashkar-e- Toiba, Kamran was an A+ category militant and further investigation was going on to ascertain in which cases he was directly involved—(KNA)
