JK Apni party dissolves Kashmir province frontal organisations

Jammu Kashmir Apni Party led by Altaf Bukhari has announced the dissolution of its province frontal organizations.

In an letter, of which a copy is available with The Kashmiriyat the party has dissolved all wings including the Youth Wing, Women Wing, and ST Wing, with immediate effect.

The Jammu and Kashmir Apni Party was established on March 8, 2020, by 31 former members of the Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Democratic Party and the Indian National Congress, including former legislators and cabinet ministers from the Jammu and Kashmir government. Altaf Bukhari was elected as the party’s inaugural president.

Often labeled as the “B team” of the Bharatiya Janata Party, one of the new party’s early achievements was its successful advocacy that led the central government of India to amend a newly issued law.

This amendment ensured that government jobs in the region remained reserved for individuals with domiciled status. However, the domicile law was subsequently repealed as well.

Details rushing in.
