Scores of youth, who had applied for posts advertised by Sher-i-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS) last year, on Thursday staged a protest against the management for withdrawing 66 posts a few days ago.
According to the news agency, the aggrieved aspirants assembled at Srinagar’s press enclave and chanted slogans in favour of their demands.
Zubair Ahmad, a protester told KNO that hundreds of youth had applied for different posts at SKIMS in June 2020.
However, he said that the institute had withdrawn at least 66 posts after one year. “We were expecting that examinations will be held soon. But, we have been left to lurch as the institute for unknown reasons has withdrawn 66 posts a few days back,” he said.
Meanwhile, the aggrieved job aspirants urged the Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha to personally look into the matter and fulfil their demands—(KNO)
