Kashmir is likely to experience mostly dry weather on August 29 and 30, with only a few isolated areas receiving brief showers.
In the Jammu region, particularly in the plains, showers are expected, though they will remain short in duration.
From August 31 to September 1, rain showers are forecast across many parts of Jammu and Kashmir. A few areas could witness short but heavy spells of rain. However, continuous rainfall is not expected, as large breaks are likely between showers.
Weather experts have cautioned that intense showers or cloudbursts cannot be completely ruled out, and such events may trigger flash floods in vulnerable areas.
There is also a risk of shooting stones and landslides along the Jammu Srinagar National Highway, which travelers should keep in mind.
Importantly, there is no flood threat this time, Kashmir Weather reported.
The upcoming rainfall is expected to be much lower in intensity, likely not even one third of the strength of the recent spell that caused widespread concern.
“People have been advised to remain calm, go about their daily routines, and follow only the usual precautions, as the exact timing and location of flash floods or cloudbursts cannot be predicted,” the report advised.
