Kashmir is experiencing continued cold wave conditions, with temperatures dipping significantly across the region.
According to the latest forecast from the Meteorological Department, light snowfall is expected over isolated higher reaches of Kashmir on December 23.
This will be followed by generally dry weather until December 26, with a slight dip in minimum temperatures expected during this period
Tourists, travelers, and transporters are advised to follow official traffic advisories due to sub-zero temperatures and icy conditions over important passes and higher reaches. These conditions are expected to persist, as the cold wave continues in isolated places through December 26.
Looking ahead, light rain is expected over the plains of Jammu, while snowfall is predicted over the higher reaches of the Chenab Valley and the Pir Panjal Range between December 27-28.
The weather is expected to remain generally dry on December 29-30, with another round of light snow over isolated higher reaches on December 31.
