In response to the case, the district police’s cyber patrol unit has detected a surge in misleading and inflammatory content being circulated on social media, allegedly by anti-social elements attempting to exploit the incident to incite disturbances.

A police spokesperson emphasized, “Sharing or creating posts that are misleading or inflammatory in nature is a violation of the law. We are closely monitoring these activities and will not hesitate to take strict legal action, including criminal proceedings, against those found guilty.”

The police have issued an advisory urging the public to refrain from sharing such content.
