Mudassir Ahmad Kuloo, a Kashmiri journalist has been awarded the G Santha Teacher Memorial Journalism Award 2021.
The 33-year-old Journalist has published reports in various international and local publications including Dainik Bhaskar, Huffington Post, The Third Pole, TRT World among others.
Mudasir who will be awarded on 6 November in Bangalore was chosen from a list of three shortlisted Indian journalists.
The award carries a specially-crafted stone memento made by noted mural artist M S Chandramouli from Karnataka and a cash prize of rupees 25,000.
The award commemorates the memory of G Shantha, an English teacher hailing from Thalavadi in Kerala’s Alappuzha district.
