
Scores of senior journalists and those running wire services have appealed to the Director of Information and Public Relations to extend the date for the submission of the accreditation form.
The last date for the submission of forms is February 27.
Some Journalists told the news agency Kashmir News Trust that there were some official holidays as a result they were unable to fulfill the required formalities.
They said there are lot of formalities required to be fulfilled and it is really an Hereculian task. “We expected the Director Information and Public Relations to extend the date,” they said.
A Journalist associated with a wire service said they are required to collect 75 subscription letters from newspaper Editors. “If you spend the whole day visiting the newspapers offices, still you won’t be able to achieve the target,” he said requesting the Director Information and Public Relations, Akshay Labroo to extend the date for the submission of forms.
