As Pakistan lost to Australia in the semi-final of the ongoing T20 world cup, a Kashmiri man from Kawoosa area of Budgam faced a cardiac arrest and fell unconscious.
A relative of the man speaking to The Kashmiriyat said that Riyaz Ahmed Wani (36) faced a cardiac arrest during the cricket match between Australia and Pakistan on Thursday night.
Riyaz was rushed to the hospital where the doctors declared him brought dead on arrival, he said
Riyaz was the brother of well known local cricketer Waseem Kaczur from from Central Kashmir’s Budgam district.
Unbeaten in the group stages, Pakistan lost to Australia in semi-final 2 of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2021 in Dubai.\
Marcus Stoinis (40*) and Matthew Wade (41*) stuck till the end after the Aussies lost five wickets and made sure to the side across the line.
