Kashmir’s First Street Library Opened in South Kashmir

Indian Army’s 18 Rashtriya Rifles Rajrif Company set up a street library past week for the young generation as well as the students of Ranipora, Chittisigpura, Kejriwal and Devipora to get knowledge and prepare ourselves for upcoming various JKSSB Examinations to Prepare for any examination study material absorb aspirants engage to get more knowledge.

Lieutenant Col Rohit Jha, Commanding officer of the 18 RR, realize that in society poorer students can’t afford to buy costly books for their preparation and takes an initiative to order books which can increase their knowledge and ability to open ‘street library’ within no time, children in gatherings visit the street library to read the topics of their taste like magazines comics novels, etc.

The street library remains open for 24 hours without any restriction where everyone can indulge in his or her passion for the reading of their own taste.

Youths of adjacent areas lauded the initiative taken by the Indian Army for poorer children to get free education in street libraries.
