Five dead bodies have been recovered while efforts are on to trace the remaining five after ten people came under a snow avalanche at Khardung La pass in Jammu Kashmir’s Ladakh Friday morning.
Disaster management department official, Aamir Ali said that five dead bodies have been recovered from the avalanche site while search operation is on to trace the remaining remaining five.
A Snow avalanche hit Ladakh’s Khardung La mountain pass in Jammu Kashmir on Friday morning.
A rescue operation is still underway to rescue the trapped.
Khardung La pass which is is 5,359 m (17,582 ft) high is gateway to the Shyok and Nubra valleys.
