Khyber Agro launches eco-friendly 1 KG curd packaging in Kashmir

Khyber Agro Pvt Ltd, a leading name in Kashmir’s dairy industry, has unveiled its new 1kg curd product in eco-friendly IML Bucket packaging.

The launch event took place at the company’s headquarters in Hyderpora, Srinagar, and was attended by notable figures including Manan Tramboo, Managing Director of Khyber Agro Pvt Ltd, and Hashmat Ali Yatoo (IAS), Commissioner of the Food and Drugs Administration (FDA) of Jammu & Kashmir.

The introduction of this curd product signifies a significant milestone in Khyber Agro’s sustainability efforts, aligning with the Eat Right India movement’s focus on eco-friendly food practices.

The biodegradable bucket packaging represents a key innovation aimed at reducing plastic waste, combining convenience for consumers with environmental responsibility.

At the launch, Commissioner Hashmat Ali Yatoo praised Khyber Agro for its commitment to sustainable packaging and high food safety standards. He emphasized the company’s role in setting an industry example by integrating quality with environmental stewardship.

“Khyber Agro’s new product launch showcases how businesses can innovate while addressing environmental concerns,” Yatoo remarked.

Produced at Khyber’s advanced facility in Srinagar, the curd adheres to stringent quality control measures throughout its processing and packaging, ensuring the highest safety and hygiene standards. With a distribution network spanning 13 districts in Jammu and Kashmir, Khyber Agro aims to make this locally-produced curd widely accessible.

During the launch, a presentation highlighted the company’s growth and adherence to the Food Safety and Standards Act of 2006.

The Commissioner also encouraged collaboration with the FDA to organize training and awareness programs for milk producers and food handlers, aiming to enhance food safety practices in the region.

Manan Tramboo expressed pride in Khyber Agro’s progress and its role in preserving Kashmir’s dairy heritage. He acknowledged the continued trust and support from customers and emphasized that the new curd product embodies the company’s commitment to quality and innovation.
