KPDCL announces power shutdown in parts of Kashmir; Schedule timing, areas and everything you need to know

The Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) has announced power shutdowns in multiple areas due to ongoing maintenance and upgrade works.

Power supply will be affected on November 20 and 23 from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM due to the reconductoring of the 33 KV Khanyar-Rainawari Line. Affected areas include Khanyar, Rainawari, Takanwari, Miskeen Bagh, Rozabal, Magdoom Sb, Hazuri Bagh, Jogilankar, JLNM Sangam, Islamia College, Narwara Hospital, Kondabal, Hasanabad, and Palpora.

Additionally, power will be disrupted on November 20 from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM in the Umerhair, Gulabagh, and Ahmadnagar areas due to works under the RDSS by M/S NTPC. Areas like Khatmulla, Pandach, Pathan Colony, and Ahmad Nagar will also experience power outages.

On November 21, from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM, power will be shut off in areas like Lurgam, Gulabagh, Bategund, Aripal, and others along the 33 KV Tral Line II due to stringing works under RDSS.

In the Budgam region, power will be cut off from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM on November 20 to facilitate the installation of 33 KV VCB and other equipment for the augmentation of the Budgam Receiving Station.

Affected areas include Budgam, Ompora Housing Colony, Jawalpora, and Budgam Town.

Further, on November 20 and 23 from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, power supply will be interrupted in the Narbal, Sanoor, Bakshipora, Shalteng, and Zainakote areas due to ongoing work on the 33 KV Narbal and BK Pora lines.

Other affected areas include Bakshipora, Shalteng, and Zainakote, which will experience outages on November 20 and 23, and the Pampore BK Pora line, which will affect power in areas like BK Pora, Khanda, Summerbugh, and others on November 21 from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Lastly, on November 23 and 25, power supply will be affected in the Waterhail area due to maintenance on the 33 KV Waterhail Tap Line.

KPDCL has advised the public to take note of these scheduled outages and plan accordingly.
