The top commander of Al Badr, Zeenat ul Islam, 28 has been reportedly killed in a brief gunfight at Katpora area of Yaripora in South Kashmir’s Kulgam district.

Sources informed The Kashmiriyat that the family of Zeenat ul Islam in Sugan area of Shopian has been called to take the body of slain for last rites.
Meanwhile the Government Forces in large numbers have reached the native of Zeenat ul Islam in large numbers and have restricted civilian movement in the area.
Zeenat-ul-Islam who had joined Militancy in 2015 was among the three surviving Militants out of list of 12 most wanted Militants prepared by the Government forces in the year 2017, the other two are Zakir Rashid Bhatt alias Musa and Reyaz AH Naikoo alias Zubair.

Zeenat who is a college graduate (B.A) was initially arrested in 2008 for being an Over Ground Worker (OGW) to Militants, upon his release he got married and has a young daughter.
